Michael Vassallo started off playing the bass at 12 years old, always dreaming of joining a band, he started off listening to metal at the age of 8 or 9  when his dad used to play Iron Maiden and Metallica  in the car. After a few years he took more interest in the genre and decided to rediscover metal music. Over the past year or 2 he has been listening to heavier genres mainly thrash and death metal.

He joined impertex at the age of 13. The band needed a bassist, and a guitarist (Marta) which Michael knew from before had asked if he wanted to join, he quickly jumped at the opportunity. From then on, he started taking the bass seriously and   focusing a lot of his time on the instrument. Impertex started off at as a rock band but eventually the whole band agreed on playing thrash metal, after around a year of playing the vocalist left and Kieron (guitarist/vocals) started sing, and all agreed to have Kieron as the new singer.
