Silvio Schembri

Silvio Schembri, born on January 29, 1958, in Pietà, Malta, is a renowned Maltese singer, musician, and band leader. He began his musical journey at age 14 by learning guitar and formed his first band, Cycopad, in 1965. Though short-lived, this early project marked the start of a vibrant career. In 1977, Silvio founded Misty, the band that defined much of his musical legacy. Misty became a staple in the Maltese music scene, performing at popular venues and releasing several hits such as Xewqa, Imħabbti, and Crazy Lady.
After Misty disbanded in 1998, Silvio relocated to Tenerife, where he established a successful solo career, performing tirelessly in local venues. Over his career, he has played alongside renowned musicians, including Rick Wills of Foreigner and Queen's Brian May. Today, Silvio continues to perform and remains a beloved figure in both Malta and Tenerife for his lasting contributions to music.
