All Hands Lost

All Hands Lost is an instrumental progressive metal duo founded in 2020, blending elements of progressive rock with intricate guitar work and melodic soundscapes. Inspired by artists such as Plini, Intervals, Animals as Leaders, Periphery, The Contortionist, and Jakub Zytecki, the project initially began as a solo endeavor by guitarist and composer Jean Vella before evolving into a collaborative effort.

Bassist Claudio Toscano first contributed to the 2022 EP on the track Starve Your Burdens and has since joined as a full-time member, bringing dynamic basslines and fresh creative input. Both musicians come from extreme metal backgrounds, including bands like Haine, Bound to Prevail, Abysmal Torment, and Niket, but All Hands Lost serves as a space for more introspective and melodic compositions.

Committed to a DIY approach, the duo self-records and produces their music, ensuring an organic and authentic sound. With a series of singles set for release in 2025 and new material already in the works, All Hands Lost continues to push its artistic boundaries, embracing a future of collaboration and innovation.
