Motherknives

Motherknives is a four-piece band emerging from the basement garage, carving out a sound that is both raw and cinematic. The lineup features Francesca Mercieca on vocals and keys, Quentin Falzon on drums, Steve Shaw on bass, and Tony Bartolo on guitar. Drawing from 90s underground influences, the band blends elements of 80s goth, heavy rock riffs, pop-like melodies, and trip-hop atmospheres, creating a style that is grounded in alternative grit yet driven by melody. Motherknives made their debut live appearance at Rock The South festival in 2025, marking the beginning of their presence on the local music scene.
