Following the success of the 2023 opening night of Iljieli fit-Teatru dedicated to Maltese Għana, this year’s closing concert will also be dedicated to this genre … with a difference. The Mariele Zammit Tri-oh! (featuring Mariele Zammit on vocals, Warren Galea on guitar, and Oliver Degabriele on double bass) combines traditional Maltese għana with jazz and modern musical elements. Their repertoire includes adapted poems, traditional rhymes, and original compositions, presenting Malta’s cultural heritage through a fresh musical approach.
