About the event
Lisa Micallef Grimaud is the vocalist of The Areola Treat, a Valletta-based garage rock band formed in 2006. Influenced by NYC no-wave, UK post-punk, and art punk, they blend raw energy with sardonic lyricism inspired by Camus, Blake, and Bataille. With eight singles, two albums, and three EPs, their evolving sound balances punchy guitars, screechy vocals, and layered textures. They’ve performed in Italy, Belgium, and Malta, regularly appearing at Rock The South and The Farsons Beer Festival.
