MPO Spectacular Summer

Set against the enchanting backdrop of Argotti Gardens, the MPO presents its end of season concert under the baton of Resident Conductor Michael Laus. The programme features a delightful selection of lively operatic overtures by pioneers of the genre Diacono, Boieldieu and Auber, together with riveting ballet suites. Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty Suite brims with rich melodies, and Poulenc’s Les Biches Suite reflects the charming playfulness of the ballet. Berlioz’s fiery Hungarian March brings the evening to a fitting vibrant close.
