Ritmu Roots Festival - Mediterranean Tunes for Guitar with Tony Pace

Tony Pace is a well-known Maltese guitarist who comes from a classical musical background. Through years of teaching and performing in numerous venues around Malta and Gozo, he has earned renown as a respected guitarist and music educator.

In recent years he has composed and published his own musical compositions, a repertoire of personal tunes collected in his latest CD Contemporary Maltese Folk Music. He claims that the inspiration behind these compositions is Maltese folklore, the natural environment, local history and the composer’s own experiences. With musical references to Maltese dances and traditional prejjem guitars, his compositions have a local, contemporary flavour, with influences from the broader context of the Mediterranean.
