The Xtreme Metal Assault is back on 18th October at Tigullio.
History
For the younger metal generation, The Xtreme Metal Assault or XMA was born in 2007 after another similar festival by another organisation was held the previous year and was launched but cancelled for 2007. XMA was held at various venues between 2007 and 2018 and suffered 2 consecutive blows in 2019 and 2020. 2019 saw us organise it and cancel it only a few weeks before after a larger organisation took a dump on us and did their funded event only a few days after ours. 2020 was set but cancelled due to Covid.
Fast forward to present, where I never dreamed of doing it again, I recently observed a steadily growing younger metal generation built on bands and fans alike, a very healthy scene with smaller events and gigs sharing various levels of success. BUT only a…
