Devil's Breath Unveils "Nyau Initiation" as Part of Sombre Soniks Compilation

The enigmatic two-member act Devil's Breath has released its latest track, "Nyau Initiation," featured on the newly unveiled 23-track compilation from Sombre Soniks. The compilation’s theme explores the esoteric world of secret societies and cults, a concept that aligns seamlessly with the shadowy, immersive sounds characteristic of Devil’s Breath.
"Nyau Initiation" stands out as an unconventional Dark Ambient track, fusing elements of Doom, Drone, Noise, and Tribal music. The result is a sonic journey that is both haunting and hypnotic, embodying the ritualistic essence suggested by its title.
The release forms part of Sombre Soniks’ ongoing Dark Ambient series, now in its 29th edition, which continues to showcase some of the most distinctive and experimental artists in the genre.

Pianist Maria Borg Shares Personal Journey Through Debut Solo Release "RELEASED"

Renowned pianist Maria Borg has unveiled her debut single as a solo artist, "RELEASED," a deeply personal piece that reflects her journey of overcoming hardship and embracing a new chapter in life.
"I'm so happy to share this piece with you all," Borg expressed, announcing the release of her latest work.
In a heartfelt message, Borg shared the significance of "RELEASED" in her life. "Most people probably won't read this, but this piece really has a special place in my heart. Those of you that know me well, know I'm quite a reserved person and frankly, I'm not one to open up much. However, I have always thought that knowing the background behind a piece helps the listener feel and interpret music in a deeper way."
Borg reflected on the struggles she has faced over the past six years, particularly the loss of a cherished role model in her life. "The past six years have been a really difficult time for me, mostly because I lost one of the most precious people in my life, but he was also my role model growing up. That and simply being a 21-year-old newly graduated who's figuring out their place in the world at the same time, were some of the things which made it so."
However, she emphasized that "RELEASED" symbolizes moving forward. "It's now time for a new journey and to embrace a new lifestyle, be grateful always and move forward. This piece represents just that—'Released' as in, letting go of the negative thoughts and difficult times and looking forward."
Borg expressed her gratitude to listeners, saying, "I really appreciate you all taking your time to listen."
