Live-Session Videos
We are absolutely thrilled to announce the release of 2 live-video recordings, taken at Abbey Road
Institute (Amsterdam), of the following songs by Antares Flare: We Used To Sing and Enraged Splitting Machines. It has been a fun challenge to work out live arrangements for both songs and bring in all the electronics that we also use live. With these two videos we hope to translate the energy that we bring on stage back to you as a listener!

Another Problem Ahead - EP
The tracks performed on these videos are part of a 3-track EP launched in February 2024 on the Amsterdam label Wicked Wax, entitled Another Problem Ahead. With compositions by Piero Conte, the band’s 4th release talks about the societal pathologies which emerge from our technologically-dependent lifestyles, and juxtaposes them with the image of ancient peoples whose lives were intrinsically connected to the natural rhythms of song and dance.
Antares Flare
An international sextet based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Antares Flare is making music that is as grounded in earthy rhythms as it is in sonic journeying. Since their inception in 2020 the band has played various festivals and clubs in the Netherlands and Italy, such as North Sea Jazz, Umbria Jazz, Fano Jazz By The Sea, Club BIRD and many others. They have released their debut eponymous album in 2022, and have since released 3 more EPs on the Wicked Wax label.
