 Beangrowers Release New Album "128K"

Beangrowers, the Maltese indie rock trio, have released their new album 128K, out now digitally on all major platforms.

128K pairs freshly remastered tracks from the band's Dystopia EP with newly recorded songs from January 2026, joining an earlier reflection on Malta's rapid development with a new chapter in the band's songwriting.

Formed in the late 1990s, Beangrowers — Alison Galea (vocals, guitar, keys), Mark Sansone (bass, synths), and Ian Schranz (drums, electronics, vocals) — have spent over two decades blending pop hooks with noise and melancholy, earning comparisons to Pixies, Joy Division, and

Sonic Youth.

Signed early on to Rough Trade Germany and later Minty Fresh (US) the band has toured Europe and the US, including a notable run at South by Southwest Festival in Texas (SXSW), all while remaining rooted in Malta and frequently using their music to reflect on the island's changing landscape.

A vinyl edition of the full-length album is in the works and will be available very soon, with further details to follow.
