THE SPACEWASTERS LIVE IN MALTA WITH A VENGEANCE!
THE GARAGE– SATURDAY 29TH MARCH

The Space Wasters are back and stronger than ever! Formed in 2001 from the ashes of Watford punk bands Mugpunter and Sick Puppy, The Space Wasters have spent over two decades carving out their reputation as one of the UK’s most raucous and resilient punk rock acts. Now, after overcoming extraordinary challenges, they are set to bring their explosive live show to The Garage, Haz-Żebbug, Malta on 29th March 2025.
A Story of Survival and Rebirth
In 2016, the band released their debut album, The Band That Wouldn’t Die, cementing their place in the punk scene and sharing stages with legendary acts such as King Kurt, Guana Batz, UK Subs, and 999. However, the road has not been without its struggles.
In 2022, founding member and front-man Mick Lammond suffered catastrophic injuries in a motorcycle accident, resulting in the loss of his right leg below the knee. Tragedy struck again in early 2023 when the band lost drummer Lee Andrews to cancer, casting doubt on their future.

But The Space Wasters refused to go quietly. In September 2023, they travelled to Serra Vista Studios in Portugal, where they recorded their long-awaited second album, The Seven-Legged Groove Machine, produced by the legendary Boz Boorer (of The Polecats and Morrissey fame). The album dropped in January 2025, marking a triumphant return to form.
Nine Legs, No Rules, and a Bucketload of Great Tunes
Now, with the welcome return of former guitarist Egg, Mick can focus on doing what he does best—singing and staying upright! Armed with their signature blend of raw punk energy, razor-sharp riffs, and a defiant attitude, The Space Wasters are wilder than ever.
Catch them live at The Garage on Saturday 29th March with support by Drowning Sorrows and witness a band that refuses to be stopped. No mess, no fuss—just a bucketload of great tunes!
