Maltese progressive atmospheric metal project Erased by Time marks its return with Dying Light, a powerful new single that further cements the project's reputation for blending technical musicianship with deeply emotional storytelling. Created by musician and composer Andrea Sacco-Baldacchino, the track offers an immersive journey into the complexities of the human mind, weaving together cinematic soundscapes, progressive instrumentation, and compelling emotional dynamics.

At its core, Dying Light explores themes of fear, identity, vulnerability, and the inner conflicts that often remain hidden beneath the surface. Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, Sacco-Baldacchino explains, "Dying Light is a song about confronting ourselves. We spend so much of our lives trying to silence our fears, bury our regrets, and outrun the parts of us we'd rather not face. Eventually, however, silence catches up with us. This song explores that moment, not as an ending, but as the beginning of understanding who we really are."

Vocalist Kyle Farrugia delivers an emotionally charged performance that drives the song's narrative, while Mark Doneo adds a thought-provoking spoken-word passage that deepens its introspective atmosphere. Renowned guitarist Anthony Micallef contributes a soaring guest solo that heightens the track's climactic moments, complementing its expansive and cinematic scope. Bringing the production together is Nick DePirro, guitarist of Night Verses and Headcave, who handled the production, mixing, and mastering. His distinctive approach to atmosphere and dynamics further enhances the song's emotional depth and sonic impact.
