HAINE Return with New Single “Contaminated” – A Ruthless Statement on Betrayal and Resolve

Deathcore outfit Haine return with their latest single, “Contaminated,” released today April 7th, 2026 across all major streaming platforms, accompanied by an official music video.
Continuing to carve their place within the modern deathcore landscape, Haine doubles down on their defining traits with “Contaminated”, a track that strips away pretense and delivers a direct, unfiltered confrontation with betrayal, internal conflict and the refusal to compromise one’s principles.
Where previous material established the band’s sonic identity, “Contaminated” sharpens it. Built on punishing low end, calculated rhythm on guitars and a vocal performance that moves between aggression and outright hostility, the track is both deliberate and oppressive. It is designed to feel as suffocating and unrelenting as the subject matter it tackles.
Lyrically, the track centers itself on a specific kind of fracture. A betrayal not from enemies, but from those who were never expected to turn on you. It explores how individuals can devolve under the influence of their surroundings, losing integrity and becoming reflections of the very toxicity they once stood against. Rather than responding with submission or retaliation on the same level, “Contaminated” takes a more grounded stance, which cuts away what no longer aligns, standing firm in one’s values and refusing to descend into that same decay.
Lines such as “I cut you out like an infection” and “I am not broken — I am immune” reinforce the track’s central idea: resilience is not passive, but rather it is a conscious act of separation, discipline and self-preservation.
The accompanying music video, directed and shot by Nicholas Bonello of Bonello Media, brings this tension into a visual space. Filmed at Tigullio, with lighting handled by Philip Gerhard and additional support from The Orb, the video leans into stark contrasts and an oppressive atmosphere, mirroring the track’s themes of confrontation and transformation under pressure.
As with their previous work, the single was recorded at Spinesplitter Studio, produced and mixed by David Depasquale, maintaining the band’s consistent sonic direction while pushing toward a more refined and focused sound.
With “Contaminated,” Haine are not attempting reinvention, but rather reinforcing their own identity. The track stands as a rejection of external influence, a refusal to dilute intent and a clear statement of where the band stands moving forward, both sonically as well as artistically.
