"Soft and Clear" Album by Das Birthday Girl released


On March 31, 2024, music enthusiasts worldwide were treated to the highly anticipated release of "Soft and Clear," the latest album by Martha Theuma, also known as Das Birthday Girl.

The album is a testament to Martha's talent as a songwriter and composer, with each track bearing her unique artistic signature. Collaborating with producer Jimmy Bartolo, Das Birthday Girl has crafted an auditory journey that captivates listeners with its ethereal melodies and heartfelt lyrics.

Recorded in Berlin and at Ultralow Music HQ under Das Birthday Girl's meticulous supervision and with Jimmy Bartolo's expertise, "Soft and Clear" boasts a polished sound that reflects the dedication poured into its creation. The addition of Fake Ophelia's lap steel performance on "Image" and Julian Grech's piano and mellotron samples on "Once Anew" adds layers of depth and richness to the album's sonic landscape.

The mixing and mastering by James Aparicio further elevate the album, ensuring that each track resonates with clarity and precision. Additional vocal recordings by Mark Axiak enhance the emotive quality of Martha's vocals, enriching the listening experience.
