Malta Metal Meeting 2026!

Malta is set to unleash its first-ever camping metal festival on 24–25 April 2026 at Gianpula Village, marking a new chapter in the island’s heavy music scene. Blending the power of international metal with the raw energy of Malta’s own underground, the event promises a completely new festival experience for local and visiting fans alike.

Headlining the inaugural edition are In Extremo, the legendary German medieval metal band known for their theatrical fusion of folk instruments and crushing riffs, alongside their compatriots, Orden Ogan, with their inimitable folk infused power metal.  Septicflesh, the Greek titans of symphonic death metal whose massive sound is built for open-air stages, are joined by Dysangelium from Czechia, delivering ice-cold death metal intensity.

Supporting the international lineup is a fierce selection of Maltese acts that will showcase the island’s diverse metal identity: Angelcrypt with their melodic death metal assault, Clubmurder bringing their signature twisted metal chaos, the occult darkness of Saħħar, the melodic black metal force Luciferi Regnum, and newcomers Sacroment, ready to make their mark. 

With two days of music, camping, and community, Malta’s first camping metal festival is primed to become a landmark event—an immersive celebration of heavy music in one of the Mediterranean’s most unique settings.
