The 16 finalist songs are announced

The sixth edition of Mużika Mużika will be held between the 19th and 21st of March 2026.

On Monday, 3 November 2025, Festivals Malta announced the 16 finalist songs that will be presented during the sixth edition of Mużika Mużika. Similar to the previous edition, this year these 16 songs will go directly to the final without any eliminations.

In the preliminary phase, 30 songs were selected by an expert jury, and yesterday these were performed in a live audition before a separate jury. After extensive deliberation, the jury selected the 16 finalist songs in the presence of the Government Notary.

The Chief Executive of Festivals Malta, Frans Agius, said, “As we continue to see year after year, Mużika Mużika attracts a wide range of singers, composers, and authors, both new and established. We are pleased with the competition and the high level of submissions, and we look forward to next year’s sixth edition of the festival in March. We congratulate the 16 finalists and thank everyone who submitted their application.”

The Mużika Mużika Board together with the Festivals Malta team will now move on to the next phase, where full logistical preparations will begin, including the musical arrangements for the festival that will be held between the 19th and 21st of March 2026.
