Press Release – Different Minds 2026

After years of friendship, music, and unforgettable memories, Different Minds proudly announce the release of their new album, Different Minds 2026.

The band originally started in the late 1990s, recording their very first song, I Can Change. Although the track remained unreleased for many years, lead singer Robert G finally decided to release it in 2018 together with an official music video.

Original members Robert G, Jason Mizzi, and Elton Abela later decided to reunite the band after many years apart. What began as casual rehearsals and a chance to reconnect with music soon evolved into something much bigger, especially with new members joining the lineup. At first, the intention was simply to have fun and enjoy playing music together again.

Everything changed when the band recorded a cover version of the Maltese band Ray & The Characters, Across The Borderline written by Ray Mercieca. Released in 2020, the song reached Number 1 on the Maltese charts for two consecutive weeks. That success inspired the band to start writing and releasing original material, including singles such as Helping Hand, Different Not Less, and more.

For years, the band shared one dream — to release a full album. Today, that dream has become a reality.

The album features 11 tracks, including previously released singles alongside six brand-new songs. Another special moment for the band was the return of original drummer Mario Gatt, widely known in Malta for his acting role as “Spiru” in the popular TV series Klassi Għalina. His return reunited the original lineup once again after all these years.

The band would also like to thank every musician and member who has been part of the journey throughout the years.
