SCEPTOCRYPT UNVEILS “THIS ODOMETER SYNDROME” PREVIEW SINGLE

New Music from Long-Awaited Full-Length Recording Project Released 13 January 2026

After years of writing and recording with a reinvigorated lineup, avant-garde extreme music collective Sceptocrypt announced the release of their preview single “This Odometer Syndrome”, which was officially unveiled on 13 January 2026. The track serves as the first public offering from the band’s forthcoming full-length album, currently in progress.

“This Odometer Syndrome” was assembled during 2025 by key members Pawel (vocals), Malcolm (guitars & backing vocals), and Skyler (bass, FX & drums). Ahead of the single’s launch, Sceptocrypt stated the recording would be expanded further with enhanced drum and vocal performances, as well as additional samples and sonic layers contributed by newly integrated members Mark (drums) and Jacek (samples).

The song explores themes of technological dependency and social disconnection, juxtaposed against Sceptocrypt’s signature experimental intensity. Its opening samples and provocative structure reflect the band’s ongoing commitment to “Extreme Music Research” — a self-described approach that embraces dissonance, eclectic influences, and boundary-pushing sound architecture.

Alongside the single release, Sceptocrypt confirmed festival appearances showcasing material from the new album, including performances at Dark Clouds over Camden (6 February 2026, London) and Grim Reaper Festival (9 February 2026, Malta).

Fans are also able to pre-order a limited run of T-shirts and rare demo bundles timed to coincide with this creative rebirth. These items hearken back to the band’s early work and underscore the historical significance of Sceptocrypt’s return after a long absence from the live circuit. As noted in a recent Melodija.eu press release, this merchandise run represents a rare opportunity to connect with the band’s legacy and support their renewed artistic trajectory.
