  • Marta Privitera, Guitarist

< Back Marta Privitera Guitarist Marta has been passionate about music since childhood. Although no one in her family had a musical background, they always encouraged her love for rock and roll—even fulfilling her dream of owning an electric guitar when her father gifted her one. Her musical journey began around the age of eight when she started playing the ukulele at Sunday school, mainly performing at church. However, her interest in the instrument faded after the COVID pandemic hit. In 2021, she discovered Nirvana and became captivated by the idea of performing and making music. Soon after, she picked up her sister’s Fender acoustic guitar and immersed herself in learning Nirvana riffs, especially obsessing over “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” Her musical taste evolved as she got into Metallica, drawn to their intense riffs and mesmerized by Kirk Hammett’s solos. This led her to buy her first electric guitar—a Jackson JS11 Dinky, which she still plays today—and begin formal lessons. As her skills progressed, Marta explored more bands like Megadeth and Overkill, ultimately falling in love with thrash metal. While she still enjoys thrash, her taste has expanded to include a lot of death metal, drawing inspiration from bands like Death and Carcass. Both genres continue to heavily influence her playing and musical style today. Privitera always aspired to play in a band, ever since picking up a guitar. Her lifelong best friend (Micheal Vassallo) had also just started playing bass, and every so often they would jam together playing songs like ‘Everlong’ and previously mentioned, ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’. Later on, they started a project band with her other lifelong best friend (Ezra Grech) called Oblivion. After multiple failed attempts at finding a vocalist and going through many second guitarists, they gave up and went dormant. After a while, through guitar lessons, she met Kieron Spiteri who was looking for a drummer and a guitarist at the time. After multiple jam sessions at their teacher's garage, Marta had unofficially joined the band. Later on, she introduced Micheal and Ezra to Kieron and at that time the former vocalist. After one jam session, Kieron and the ex-vocalist decided to officially welcome Marta, Ezra, and Micheal into Impertex. Finally, after a while, Impertex had a full lineup. Impertex Originally started as a rock band, but after many discussions, they all decided to be a thrash band inspired by great bands like Megadeth. • Delirium MT

Delirium MT Matea Blazhevska < Back Delirium is a 5-piece heavy metal band which debuted in April 2022 after having formed in 2019, initially by drummer Karen Micallef and pianist Maria Borg. They were later joined by bassist Aidan Falzon, then by guitarist Noel Zarb and eventually also vocalist Cezar Adrian Pinzaru. The band has performed on several occasions since their launch, they debuted their first album in September 2022, and also released two music videos in 2022, “Medusa” and “War is Blood”. The band is made up of vocals, guitar, bass, keys and drums. Delirium offers a unique sound since it tries to blend the guitar and piano together, using piano both as rhythm and lead at times, interchangeably with the guitar. This creates a gothic feel and unusual style. The members are currently all musicians with ages ranging from 20-25 years old. Delirium’s first album, “State of Delirium” focuses on mental illness and mental health issues in a society which deems many illnesses and issues untreatable or ‘an exaggeration’ of an issue. It takes the perspective of people with mental health problems and shows their side of the story. It also refers to the mental health issues caused by the pandemic of COVID-19 In February 2025, the band confirmed the departure of Cezar and Maria and revealed that Noel Zarb, the band’s long-time guitarist, will now be taking on vocal duties as well. • Jake Zammit, Drummer

< Back Jake Zammit Drummer Jake is the drummer of Manic Satin, born and raised in Malta. His earliest memories of music involve his father strumming the guitar around the house and sneaking listens to his father's record collection, which included bands like Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and Dire Straits. That noise got into his blood early and never really left. When Sarah approached him about a year and a half ago to ask if he would start a band, Jake wasn’t exactly jumping out of his seat. He had been involved in a few projects that never really went anywhere, so he figured this would be more of the same. Nevertheless, he agreed to join. He is glad he did, as Manic Satin turned out to be anything but another quick project. For Jake, music has never just been about playing; it is how he connects with people. Communicating through words is not exactly his strong suit, but behind the kit, he doesn’t need them. It’s weird, it’s loud, and it makes complete sense to him.
