What started as a one-off idea has quickly turned into a proper tradition: a chance for the community to look back at the past year, celebrate the artists who kept things moving, and give standout releases the recognition they deserve. This year’s poll highlights albums released in 2025, across ten categories: ALTERNATIVE CLASSICAL DUB / SKA / URBAN POP / EXPERIMENTAL FOLK / FOLK POP JAZZ / FUSION / WORLD ELECTRONIC (MAINSTREAM) ELECTRONIC ( NON MAINSTREAM) METAL ROCK / PUNK Every album listed was released in 2025, so you’re voting on the music that genuinely soundtracked the year.
