- Delirium MT
Delirium MT Matea Blazhevska < Back Delirium is a 5-piece heavy metal band which debuted in April 2022 after having formed in 2019, initially by drummer Karen Micallef and pianist Maria Borg. They were later joined by bassist Aidan Falzon, then by guitarist Noel Zarb and eventually also vocalist Cezar Adrian Pinzaru. The band has performed on several occasions since their launch, they debuted their first album in September 2022, and also released two music videos in 2022, “Medusa” and “War is Blood”. The band is made up of vocals, guitar, bass, keys and drums. Delirium offers a unique sound since it tries to blend the guitar and piano together, using piano both as rhythm and lead at times, interchangeably with the guitar. This creates a gothic feel and unusual style. The members are currently all musicians with ages ranging from 20-25 years old. Delirium’s first album, “State of Delirium” focuses on mental illness and mental health issues in a society which deems many illnesses and issues untreatable or ‘an exaggeration’ of an issue. It takes the perspective of people with mental health problems and shows their side of the story. It also refers to the mental health issues caused by the pandemic of COVID-19 In February 2025, the band confirmed the departure of Cezar and Maria and revealed that Noel Zarb, the band’s long-time guitarist, will now be taking on vocal duties as well. - Brenda Musu', Guitarist
< Back Brenda Musu' Guitarist Brenda Musu is a proficient guitarist with qualifications from RGT, boasting 14 years of experience. Her journey with the guitar began at the tender age of 7, inspired by the likes of Black Sabbath and the Shadows. Despite the male dominance in the field, the visibility of female guitarists like Joan Jett and Courtney Love on television spurred her to pursue her passion. She commenced her formal training in 2007 under Marc Galea at the Euro Institute Hamrun Malta, who encouraged her to further her studies and eventually earn an LLCM Diploma in Electric Guitar performance in 2018. In 2009, Brenda expanded her musical education by studying the Theory of Music with Mro. Ray Sciberras and Ms. Rita Micallef, achieving Grade 8 level by 2020. Her debut performance was in 2012 with the Valletta Ensemble, directed by Mro. Roderick Bugeja and Valhmor Montfort. This marked the beginning of numerous opportunities to play at various events as a session guitarist, covering styles from traditional Annual Feast programs to Metal/Rock bands and even weddings. In August of that same year, she furthered her studies at a Jazz Festival in Sicily. The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 led Brenda to start offering online guitar lessons, aiming to inspire and motivate others during difficult times. She has since become adept at teaching, providing both online and face-to-face lessons for students ranging from beginners to advanced levels. - Kodin Camilleri, Vocals, Guitars
< Back Kodin Camilleri Vocals, Guitars Facebook Kodin Camilleri was born on the 19th of September 2008. From a very young age, he showed a keen interest in music and musical instruments, especially the guitar; his second birthday cake was already a red Telecaster guitar. He also had an interest in playing the drums, the trumpet, and the accordion. At the age of 8, Kodin began attending guitar lessons but stopped after a few months. However, his love for music and playing the guitar never left him. After some time, he resumed guitar lessons and has not looked back since. As soon as he started getting the hang of it, Kodin began writing his own music and experimenting with song lyrics. Not a day goes by without him practicing; it’s a part of him that he can’t do without. Besides the guitar, he also enjoys playing the piano, the harmonica, and the bass, all of which he plays by ear. A little over two years ago, Kodin started having weekly vocal coaching as well as songwriting lessons. This was crucial for him to be able to perform a song from start to finish. Music is a significant part of Kodin's life. When he’s not playing, he enjoys listening to vinyl records. He is a big fan of the "Three Jims": Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and Jimmy Page. He also loves The Beatles and Oasis, among others. In the summer of 2024, Kodin released his first single, "It’s Alright," and he is currently working on other songs. It takes a lot of dedication and money to make it in the music industry, so he would like to express a heartfelt thank you to his parents, who have always believed in him and supported him throughout his musical journey. - Blind Saviour
Blind Saviour unknown < Back Formed in 2013 and containing elements with years of experience in the Maltese metal scene, Blind Saviour can lay claim to be Malta's only fully fledged Power Metal band. Lightning fast double bass drum rhythms, twin-lead harmonies, catchy sing-a-long refrains and orchestral textures are all combined in an elegant and exciting blend. Powerful and varied vocals together with an overall judicious use of keyboards make Blind Saviour quite a unique sounding band within the female fronted metal scene. Blind Saviour’s debut album entitled The Master Plan is a concept album containing 11 tracks, spanning over 65 minutes. The tracks follow a story line set in the post-apocalyptic future and feature characters and places in a post-apocalyptic setting created by the band itself. Here one finds many popular themes associated with this musical style: a clearly defined good vs evil plot and the inclusion of epic battles between surviving human clans and their robot oppressors. The hero and leading personality of this epic tale is Blind Saviour himself, a character who remains shrouded in mystery throughout the course of the saga. His quest is clear - to defeat his nemesis Lord Jackson Trukx and the Robot Rulers. Blind Saviour has played a number of metal festivals and gigs at various venues on the Maltese Islands. In 2016, the band ventured out on its first ever mini tour of the UK, playing at 3 venues in Norwich, Hastings and London where it took the opportunity to promote the launch of The Master Plan. In October 2017 Blind Saviour released its new single, Father of the Wolf, a cover version and power metal interpretation of the original track by the Swedish melodic death metal band Amon Amarth. In 2018 the band was invited to Ivrea, Italy to take part in the Metal Queen’s Burning Night Festival, a festival promoting female-fronted bands. Since 2019 the band has been on an indefinite hiatus. However, there are plans to release new material in the near future.
