Opening the conference, Sigmund Mifsud welcomed attendees and introduced the project, outlining its forward-thinking artistic vision. He presented the core creative team, featuring himself as producer, Kevin Abela as Music Director, Elton Zarb in music production, and Mikaela Attard as music consultant. The project also includes collaborations with international producers connected to Berklee, further strengthening its global dimension.

Mifsud highlighted the involvement of local artists alongside a 35-piece orchestra, which will blend traditional and experimental instruments to create a distinctive futuristic soundscape.

She expressed her enthusiasm for being part of RockVision 2050 and emphasized her role in representing Caritas Malta, noting that part of the concert’s proceeds will be donated to the organisation. She also underscored the project’s strong social impact and commitment to inclusivity.

Frans Agius, CEO of Festivals Malta, highlighted the organisation’s support for initiatives that promote rock music. He noted that RockVision 2050 provides valuable opportunities for local artists to collaborate with international musicians and producers, helping them expand their professional networks. He also expressed support for the project’s charitable contribution and inclusive message.
Dr Luke Dalli, Executive Chair of Arts Council Malta, emphasized the originality and creativity behind the project, praising the strength of its artistic team. He stressed the importance of supporting innovative initiatives that encourage bold artistic expression among local talent.

During the conference, it was also announced that a series of masterclasses in music production and specific musical instruments will be organised as part of the project. The public is encouraged to follow the Fusion Festival Facebook page for updates and application details.
In closing, Sigmund Mifsud reiterated that RockVision 2050 is designed as a platform for creativity, collaboration, and artistic development.
