Local band Skald, known for blending powerful lyrics with emotive melodies, is back with their second single, "Xatbet il-bieb," from their latest album "Morsa", released in September 2024. The new track follows the success of their first release from this album, "Il-Qatra," and continues the band's exploration of dark and thought-provoking themes in Maltese language.
"Morsa," meaning "vice," is a 10-track album that delves into the complex and often painful emotions associated with feeling trapped in negative cycles. Each song from the album captures the raw vulnerability and emotional turmoil of individuals dealing with life's struggles. With "Xatbet il-bieb," Skald addresses the devastating reality of human trafficking and physical abuse, shining a light on these grave issues with unapologetic honesty.
