< Back Keith Anthony Guitars Matt Hush Keith Anthony has an extensive and continued involvement in Malta‘s fast growing music scene. During his time with Chasing Pandora ,he has reached audiences across the islands and abroad with BBC Radio2 coverage, several London tours and live performances at the North by North East festival in Canada. While Chasing Pandora were on hiatus he wrote his own album ‘ Ordinary Madness’ with his band FellowFish and has recently joined Ismael Azzopardi in a studio project called ‘Ugly Monkey’. Keith is the owner of Noise Studio in Gozo, Keith has recorded and produced numerous local bands throughout the years. No stranger to the local gigging circuit, Keith has collaborated and played with multiple local and international artists such as Nicky Bomba and Bori Magyar playing gigs locally and abroad. < Back Jake Zammit Drummer Jake is the drummer of Manic Satin, born and raised in Malta. His earliest memories of music involve his father strumming the guitar around the house and sneaking listens to his father's record collection, which included bands like Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and Dire Straits. That noise got into his blood early and never really left. When Sarah approached him about a year and a half ago to ask if he would start a band, Jake wasn’t exactly jumping out of his seat. He had been involved in a few projects that never really went anywhere, so he figured this would be more of the same. Nevertheless, he agreed to join. He is glad he did, as Manic Satin turned out to be anything but another quick project. For Jake, music has never just been about playing; it is how he connects with people. Communicating through words is not exactly his strong suit, but behind the kit, he doesn’t need them. It’s weird, it’s loud, and it makes complete sense to him. < Back Nick Morales Guitars, Vocals Nick Morales came kicking and screaming into this world on the 24th July 1981, andafter a while he realised that he had a nasty passion for music. Since he first picked upan instrument, he has played in numerous local outfits including Thera, Yellow Poppers, Try See Kill, Oblong, Lynch, Noetic, No Bling Show, Carrie Haber, Mikaela, MsLeads, Sempliciment Tat-Triq and Dripht amongst many others. Aside from organising Rock the South Malta festival, Nick Morales also recently became an official partner of the beloved and large scale Malta festival Earth Garden. Nick's international exposure includes touring with local band Dripht in London in July 2006 and managing tours for Maltese bands in Copenhagen, Denmark, alongside Jesper Ejrup, a key contact from Denmark. His management efforts have facilitated tours for nosnow/noalps, Cable35, Carrie Haber, Twenty Six Other Worlds, Bletchley Park, Red Electrick, and For Strings Inn in various countries including Denmark, Scotland, Austria, Paris, London, Milan, and Italy. Some notable achievements include: Recording with Carrie Haber in London at Air Studios with Grammy Award-winning producer Steve Orchard in May 2010. A European acoustic tour with nosnow/noalps in September 2011, funded by The Malta Arts Fund, covering Denmark, Paris, London, and Milan. Supporting major bands like The Hives in Malta in September 2017 and Kaiser Chiefs in August 2018. Initiating the Rock the City Malta festival in 2018 and Malta Takes London, a platform for Maltese artists to perform in London. Nick also ventured into record production with the establishment of Kewn Records in early 2018, releasing Bila's single "Do What I Want" in collaboration with Canadian label Kingfisher Bluez. In addition to his musical pursuits, Nick has directed, produced, filmed, and edited over 30 music videos under nosweat Productions. He remains actively involved in promoting concerts, traveling, and cooking, continuing to enrich the musical landscape in Malta and abroad. < Back Alexia Baldacchino Vocals facebook.com Alexia Baldacchino, born in 1981, Maltese, painter and Artisan from Sliema, Malta. Alexia is the founding member of the acclaimed metal band Memento Nostri (currently inactive). The band she created focused on promoting Maltese history, in particular the Great Siege of 1565 which was the theme chosen for the concept album. In August 2006, the band launched their first single to much critical acclaim. Memento Nostri launched their promo album Pro Patria at Montekristo Estates on August 21, 2010 in an event that also featured the official launch of the band and the video of the CD's title track. They were warmly received by the general public, and quickly established Memento Nostri as one of the more unique bands our local music scene has produced. The band was nominated for 2 awards at the Malta Music Awards 2010, namely Best Heavy Metal Band and Best website, winning the latter. It was a great honour to be nominated for two awards especially having entered the awards with an EP, not a full-length album. Given the unique music combination and theme, the band received various requests from offshores record labels and touring possibilities but circumstances concerning the other band members, the band had to decline. During 2013 and 2014, she also was the vocalist of a Medieval inspired band called Bibita where together with her fellow band members she performed all around Malta in various events. Since then Alexia together with her husband, formed a duo named Tryst Arcane, creating a unique style of music which style they are calling ‘Minimal Dark’. Deliberately shorn of any conventional percussive arrangements, Tryst Arcane’s music emanates simply from an esoteric rendezvous of sweeping keys’ riffs combined with mystifying vocal melodies. Lyrics garner elements of mysticism mixed with realism pertinent to our existence.The first EP ‘Autumn’ was released on most digital platforms on the 7th October 2019 and the CD was released on 4th November, 2019. The Vinyl version was released on 7th November 2021, accompanied by a live virtual launch, released on Youtube, during Covid times. The second EP ‘Sun Of Other Days’, (featuring Emanuel Portelli, a great musician and good friend from Victims of Creation, Hemplifier, Thy Legion & Animamortua) will be released on most digital platforms on 11th August 2023, and later in 2023 this will also be released on Vinyl. From this EP, the single LURA will be released on most digital platforms on 23rd June 2023. 2023. Currently Alexia is also involved with various bands and musicians featuring as guest vocalist. < Back Jes Psaila Guitars Having studied classical guitar for a few years, Jes turned to electric guitar in his teens, with an interest in 70’s progressive rock and jazz to follow soon after. Over the years he has been involved in various projects, playing as a sideman in bands stylistically ranging from folk to jazz ensembles. He has a particular interest in improvisation, composition and music for theatre productions. Following a self-titled solo album launched in March 2014, and the live performance recording of DUOs in April 2017, guitarist Jes Psaila’s current endeavour is the Hinge Project. Recorded in October 2019 at Temple Studios, the album stylistically tends towards cross-over jazz and is made up of seven instrumental tracks. Working on this project are Mark Attard on piano & keyboards, Luke Briffa on drums & percussion and André Micallef on bass guitar, each offering their individual seasoned sound to the guitarist’s original compositions. < Back Cezar Adrian Pinzaru Vocals Matea Blazhevska Cezar is a half-Maltese, half-Romanian who has lived in Malta for the past 13 years and also goes by the nickname 'Hybrid'. He discovered heavy metal at the age of 16, and in 2018 decided to pursue his passion for vocals. He was previously the vocalist in the band Dead Impaled, which unfortunately came to a halt in mid-2022. He is heavily influenced by Dark Funeral, Septicflesh, Arch Enemy, and Semblant. < Back Daniel Vassallo Guitars Daniel Vassallo was born on the 24th January 2006. Music has always been part of his life and was particularly fascinated by the guitar. He started learning/playing at eleven on acoustic, and although he transferred to playing electrical, he continues his studies on classical guitar playing getting his o’levels and now is working on intermediate level. Still, rock was always important, and Daniel tried with a number of different bands until Soul, with whom as he stated: “Guitar and rock have truly saved my life and in this band I feel (at) home, as songs aren’t written, they’re simply released”.
