Born with a passion for instrumental expression, Charlie's musical journey began in 1993 with the release of his debut album, "STYLES." A 10-track instrumental masterpiece, the album showcased Charlie's multifaceted talents as he took on the roles of writer, recorder, producer, and distributor. Following the success of his first venture, Charlie swiftly moved on to his second album, "I Believe," in 1995. Motivated by a sense of urgency and a noble cause, this 9-track album was crafted, recorded, produced, and released in a remarkable four months, utilizing a 4-track audio cassette recorder. The prolific artist continued his creative odyssey with the third album, "Ahjar gibna tnejn biex jghannu," a sprawling collection of 18 tracks. The writing process extended from 1995 to 1999, culminating in the album's production and release in the year 2000. From 2019 till 2023 Charlie played guitars alongside guitarist Robert Tomasuolo in Lord Adder and appears on ‘Operation Pedastal’ and ‘1565’ both released in 2022. Charlie's fourth offering, "Jam Sessions Vol 1," marked a departure in style, capturing a small fraction of the extensive jam sessions he had been recording since 2017. The album, consisting of 10 tracks, evolved gradually over the years, and was meticulously organized and released in 2023, showcasing Charlie's commitment to his craft. Returning to his roots, the fifth album, "my Guitar Instrumentals," echoed the instrumental theme of his debut. With 12 tracks, the album traced Charlie's musical evolution from 1991 to 2023, offering a captivating journey through his recording career. Diversifying his portfolio, the sixth album, "my Various Artists," showcased Charlie's songwriting prowess for other artists. Comprising 10 songs written between 2005 and 2023, some of which he performed himself, the album highlighted Charlie's versatility and collaborative spirit. In a poignant finale, Charlie presented his seventh and last album, "The 7th Piece," a compilation of past works and recent productions. Spanning from 1997 to 2023, the album was a testament to Charlie's enduring creativity. With a promise of an additional song, the album aimed to complete its lineup with a total of 10 songs. Every piece of Charlie Muscat's extensive body of work has been digitally remixed and remastered, a testament to his dedication to preserving the essence of the original recordings. Throughout his career, Gusman's versatility as a singer was evident as he effortlessly transitioned between romantic ballads, catchy pop tunes, and even opera. He captivated audiences with his performances, winning prestigious awards such as the 'First Prize' at the Golden Orpheus Festival in Bulgaria and being declared the Best Interpreter at the Istanbul International Song Festival. Additionally, Gusman's own compositions became cherished classics in Malta and beyond, ensuring his enduring legacy in the Maltese diaspora.     < Back Jes Psaila Guitars Having studied classical guitar for a few years, Jes turned to electric guitar in his teens, with an interest in 70’s progressive rock and jazz to follow soon after. Over the years he has been involved in various projects, playing as a sideman in bands stylistically ranging from folk to jazz ensembles. He has a particular interest in improvisation, composition and music for theatre productions. Following a self-titled solo album launched in March 2014, and the live performance recording of DUOs in April 2017, guitarist Jes Psaila’s current endeavour is the Hinge Project. Recorded in October 2019 at Temple Studios, the album stylistically tends towards cross-over jazz and is made up of seven instrumental tracks. Working on this project are Mark Attard on piano & keyboards, Luke Briffa on drums & percussion and André Micallef on bass guitar, each offering their individual seasoned sound to the guitarist’s original compositions.
